About Ashkan Khabazian

After earning his bachelor of science in animal physiology and neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Ashkan Khabazian matriculated at the University of Michigan to pursue his doctor of pharmacy. Ashkan Khabazian graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003 and subsequently fulfilled the requirements of a general practice pharmacy residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego.

Over the course of his career, Ashkan Khabazian has held pharmacy appointments with multiple health care centers and medical organizations in the greater San Diego area. He has also instructed students at a number of teaching hospitals and institutions of higher learning, including Scripps Mercy Hospital and UCSD.

Currently, Mr. Khabazian serves as the lead clinical pharmacist in the emergency department at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. There, his duties center on assisting emergency physicians and staff with pharmacologic interventions for patients in critical condition after suffering major medical traumas, such as heart attacks and drug overdoses.
